Anybody know how to end one of those task that just won't end without rebooting your PC. Even ending the process tree gets me the following message:

The program cannot be closed. If it is being debugged, please resume it or close the debugger first.

    Any ideas?

    turn off the debugger

go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AeDebug in the registry

Change the auto field to 0 to disable the debugger, you shouldn't get that message any more and the process will end,

thats in 2000 anyway, prolly xp too

use kill.exe -f 'process name' off the resource kit.. If u dont have the kit search google to download it (kill.exe)... There is a german version on the net for free somewhere (kill.exe)...
