I wont go into the gory details but the company I was MD of has closed its doors today.

Thats a pity but its of no real impact on Boards.ie. Boards has its own ltd company and has a different set of directors etc (eg: Cloud is not involved with Spin).
The only connection with Spin was that Regi, Vex and I were directors of both companies. There were directors of Spin who had no involvement (or even comprehensive knowledge of) Boards.ie

Just that it seems people are drawing conclusions that Spin's demise will have some impact on Boards future. It wont.

Spin's involvement with Boards was that it was paid to set up and build the original website when we started. Beyond that the two companies have no on going arrangement.

Its sad to have the company we set up and ran for 5 years go bang but c'est la vie.

    DeV.

3.7 posts a day is hardly taxing :)

2 of those a day are "Hey Muppet... SHUT UP!"

1 is "No, let me explain AGAIN how this dictator thing works"

and every second day I post an actual original post.

    :)

    DeV.

    Thats a good point.
    I know how it feels.
I've been a director of a company that had to close its doors 2 years ago. Still hurts when i think of the millionaire dreams i used to have.
I'll have to watch my post count too :)

Oh, damn yeah I have to write that round up of the Boards ISP thing. In short: No, the market is FNCKED.

Oh thats another thing. Now that I dont have to watch what I say for fear of a bad reflection on Spin (and yes I *did* do that on occasion).... well I dont have to do that any more and boy am I going to speak my mind now...

Having known a few of the Spin heads for a while (and living above the office gimp), I'm sorry to hear about it lads. But with your collective skillz, I don't think any of you are going to have too much difficulty getting back into various saddles!

Hell no, my CV and personal site is on that thing.
I suppose that we should take down the main bit, but what are people going to do if we don't, fire us? :)

Sorry to hear the bad news. Knowing those involved, I'm sure you are all capable of doing well with other ventures/jobs in future. Plus, if you can afford it, its nice to relax and take a breather, do that world trip you've been meaning to do for the last 5 years etc, or just somehow get the batteries recharged and start something else new.

Aye, kinda shocked and sorry to hear it for you all.

A pretty rough market at the moment, but I'm sure things will work out.

Genuinely sorry to hear that lads. The only Spin-type I've met has been Regi - seems a thoroughly decent chap. I wish all of you the very best in your onwards and upwards quests.

Never thought I would see the day, really sorry to hear that lads. Can you recommend another male escort service, with as randy dirty men as yourselves we can use for Spin's replacement?
