After some deliberation (read as "time doing nothing") and some consultation with the committee and others (this actually happened), we've made the decision to add Moriarty and seamus as forum moderators.

As the Market/Policy Issues forum is rather less busy than this one, the two lads will be added as mods to the Consumer/Service Issues forum only, at least for the moment. Don't read this as our new mods being "lesser" mods in any way - it's solely for the reason that four mods there (Ray and I will continue to co-mod) would be overkill. We've taken the decision to have three mods (Moriarty, seamus and me) on this forum, rather than the previous two as the forum does get rather busy at times and frankly with Dustaz stepping down, we may well need the extra coverage - at least we'll have it if we need it.

They'll get their dancing girls and company cars as soon as possible. Feel free to welcome them as mods now before they start being mean to any of you:D

You mean Dustaz is now officially free at last!, to rant, get up the mods noses, etc . I bet he is happy about that.

As for the 2 New mods Moriarty & Seamus, Good luck & thanks for taking on a voluntary thankless and trying task. I will be keeping my beady eye on you as I am not to familiar with the names, YET?..

The dancing girls and company car had no impact on my decision to accept this position. Honest. I'm doing this for the people! (It is a nice car, though.... er.. *ahem*)

I shall be using both my Iron Fist of Muppet Control™ and Velvet Glove of Gentle Guidance™ in the weeks and months to come. Please, for the sake of my sanity and yours, lets make sure the velvet glove is all that's needed. Wont somebody please think of the children?!

In all seriousness, I hope to be as fair and reasonable as the mods that have come before me. They've all done a good job and I hope to continue in the same direction.

DeVore harruphs, awakes and shuffles off to do as he is bidden dragging his bad leg after him, muttering darkly how no other forum ever gives him as much trouble as IOFFL and how they cant seem to keep moderators for more then 2 seconds, must be the stress that kills them, go through Chairmen nearly as fast, causing trouble in the telco industry, these are local boards for local people, we'll have no trouble here....

Well, Moriarty & seamus. Now that your names have appeard up where they belong, and you have been granted full Mod powers.

I can now officially wish you both well. Maybe sceptre* can now have a little relaxation while of course still keeping his beady eye on everthing, and I notice that Dustaz* seems to be really enjoying, being released from bondage?.. after some time bondage really begins to hurt!.
