    Bubbles used to be a band. They split about 20 months ago. Basically, they were the original Boards band, and there was always this (sort of) joke that when they were famous the users of Boards could claim to be in from the beginning.
    But if they were a failure (which is how things turned out) they should be deleted from existance and never referred to again, just retained in the collective memory.
    Hence the crap with all the *s.

    The user known as bubbles was the lead singer, DeVore was a percussionist/tamborine player and Frankie goes to Hollywood style dancer.

    Also of note, there was a T-shirt I'm forever blowing Bubbles designed by a Boards user for the band.



    <edit>I should not actually have given out the information above, as at the time DeVore stated that anyone letting slip about the band would get a ban. To be honest I don't give a shite, as I think all this false intrigue is childish.</edit>

    Do a search (in 2001, that's when the band split), you are sure to come up with some obscure reference to the band somewhere.
    Also try a search for the T-shirt design thread, that might help to convince you.
