Monitoring bandwidth usage with a router

    Hi,

I got a Netgear DG824M router today, and all is working well with Clicksilver.

Before I got the router, I was using DUMeter to make sure I stayed under the cap on one PC, but what's the best way to do it with a router?

I've installed DUMeter on all 3 PC's, but there is no way of separating internet traffic from LAN traffic. So if I transfer a file across the network, it's added onto the DUMeter total.

In the configuration of the router it gives the "TxPkts" and "RxPkts" for the ADSL connection. I think this resets if the connection is dropped, and I don't know if it's much use to me. It seems like a pretty basic monitor.

So, what's the best way to keep tabs on internet traffic with a router?

    Thanks.
