Hospitals - County, District, & General

    Sorry if this isn't the best board for this. It's related to hospitals - which is kind of financial related...
    I put it on "Personal Issues", but didn't really get any info.

    What's the difference between a County Hospital, a District Hospital, and a General Hospital?

    I see some hospitals listed on goldenpages.ie, and different hospitals are listed as being County, District & General.

    The different names indicate the levels of specialities. Part of it may also be simple convention / preference. Don't worry, they'll take you to the right one. :)
