Enough nostalgia! For the smarties of society, we're not very forward-thinking. I'll plead guilty myself to looking back to the good 'ol times myself frequently, but I think a thread about something current would be nice for a change! :)

We have threads about the toys and TV shows we all used to love when we were kids, but what toys, shows, programs, sports, comics, books, collectable items or enemas are we interested in at the moment?

    Myself:
Downhill Mt. Biking and cross country mountain hiking.
    Paintball :D
Sci-fi and/or fantasy books movies etc.
Books or documentaries on science and technology
    Gadgets (GO PALM OS!)
Comics (Marvel, or anything by Niel Gaiman, esp. Sandman)
Anything paranormal, books on psychic experimentation or development
    Computers, especially Macs.
    Gold-plated toilet seats
Futurama, Newer episodes of Simpsons, Family Guy (for Stuey!), Frasier, Stargate SG1
Gladiator, Dune (Newer miniseries version), Lord of the rings movies, Xmen movies, Matrix movies, anything else what is cool.

Now come an worship before my brilliant and thought-supressing thread! Tithe to me three of the fairest from each of your clans, and my hunger shall be sated. For a while. (They'd better be female or so help me god..)

    Hmm... let's see...

Fantasy books is definately the top, some sci-fi as well.
Computers games, mainly RTS or RPG's, with a few first-person games thrown in for a healthy balance.
Movies, usually classics, like those by Kubrick. Also really dark, but light-hearted at the same time (I know it sounds contradictory but still) like Tim Burton's films (Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands). Anything funny is good too, and action films can be OK occasionally. Also films that make you think.... Basically, any film that isn't mind-numbingly stupid, boring or otherwise incapacitating.
Funny TV shows (not ones showing at the moment, cos there aren't many) such as Faulty Towers, Monty Python (Flying Circus), Brass Eye, and the League of Gentlemen.
Playing guitar and listening to music too. Mainly classic rock/classic punk, with some generic death metal and random other genres thrown in.
    And general loitering.

That's my life in a brief summary.

    ...

    Man I'm pathetic.

Reading - books, car magazines, technical books, anything which looks vageuly interesting ;)

Music - listening and playing (play guitar and flute, though not as much lately as I'd like)

Mountain-biking - mainly cross-country, but also like street/trials, though I'm not very good

Motorsport - rallying mainly (being on Moll's Gap at 8:00am to hear a 600bhp Audi Quattro snarling up the gap is one of life's great experiences :D [as is driving through it later that day] ) - F1 is a little less boring than usual this year too though - have actually watched one or two races

Will watch pretty much any movie once (it'd had better be good for me to watch it again though) - favourites would be Gladiator, Shrek, Taxi, Ronin, a lot of Jackie Chan's stuff.

Don't watch too much TV these days - Scrap Heap Challenge is great fun when ever I get the chance to watch it though. I like Time Team too, and any documentary about cool stuff.

It's 02:30 now, and I think it's time to go to bed........

to second richard- sitting around questioning things.
sitting in a car watching the world speed by.
and sitting on the subway and looking at people until they realize they're looking at you and then look away. god, that's brilliant.

the list goes on and on...i'm going to be quiet now.

oh- wait, one more thing- making lists.
