my fifo buffers only go up to 14,16 respectively

Don't mind anything on that site, increasing the buffers only gives you more regular lockups, only use the default FIFO settings I've found them best, esp for the Irish system. Also force a 44 connect or lower with the init string at+ms=12,1,2400,44000, use error control - compress data, use flow control - hardware and in server types only check "TCP/IP"
