The Spoiled vote doesn't exist due to the electric voting system(which is highly undemocratic, unaccountable and too open to abuses) :(

"Don't Vote" = Then you shouldn't be voting in the poll either

I voted Labour because I must admire there new direction and the fact that anyone else(FF, FG, PDs) is a vote for the old ways.

Ireland needs to wake up and join teh 21st century

I'd vote same as before - labour.

Seems the FF / FG vanilla parties aint popular, just it seems a left liberal party and a right liberal party are in contention -> Labour/PD's

Assuming that the other option is the greens as i can't think of anyone else. Then a Labour/Green coalition is totally posible with 52% of the vote. Thats better than the current PD/FF majority...

:) Awaits the overthrow with glee

The other option could be greens, abstention, or a radical left/right party not mentioned such as the swp.

Indeed since this site attracts many students, the demographics would swing towards the greens or the workers party or some such filth.

I find the spoilled voted, a funny thing. People who usually spoil the vote are doing it cause the hate the government, but instead of voting form someone decent, they spoil it. There is also the others who hate the government and use the attitude 'what's the point' who are a sort of spoilled vote also.

If you hate Bertie and his croonies, get out and vote for someone good, don't sit at home and expect someone else to. We have a decend voting system in this country (PR), you have to feel sorry for our friends accross the pond (USA), where they use a bloody electrol college, to vote in the person you didn't vote for!

And if you are dis-satisfied with all options and believe there is no "someone good" to vote for?

nah, ya can be socially liberal and fiscally conservative or vice versa.

An Example of an oxymoron would be for instance an libertarian socialist.

    So many flavours in politics!

I voted, but for whom is my own personal private business. We live in a Democracy which may be flawed and riddled with corruption. However, it is still our very own democratic free state.
