depends on what stat counter your using and it can take AGES to get into Google and Yahoo submit to the directory (someone help me out here I can't remember it it's got a greenish color home page and it's a manually kept database) anyway it's called the DMC or something like that and google trawls that and yahoo trawls google and vice versa and it's all a vicious circle and I'm ranting again

It's called The Open Directory Project or DMOZ (http://www.dmoz.org/)

Google uses it, but does not own it

How long ago did you submit to Google? It can take Google 2 months to spider a URL submitted directly to them. If your site was already in Google's index it can take up to one month for Google to pick up any changes. Yahoo uses Google for some of their search results so you are covered there.
