hey there im after getting offered a cert course through the CAO, thing is i got a letter from someone earlier this month about grants but binned it. who do i apply to if im doing a national cert., how much can i expect to get and when will i get it. thanks for the help luke

AFAIk the diploma grants are done through either the ESF or VEC.

Easy way to find out though - phone the college you've been offered the course in and speak to someone in student services or the SU if they have one and ask them. Closing dates are rapidly approaching (most of them are this Friday or so) so get yer arse in gear and find out (yeah, I realise you posted here to find out:)).

Ring your local county council, education section, gets the forms asap.
