Does anyone know of any good software that would manage a school/students?

I reckon a good package must exist out there but i have no experience in the area.

In what respect do you want to manage?
Account, grade, student info, computer access/usage account ...
I don't think there is any one program that would manage all the above.

    Oh dear god no.....

Sorry i should have been more specfic.

It would be to manage the student data (names, addresses, contact details etc) it would have to be able to deal with mass moving students between years, archiving off past students.

Also there is a primary and secondary school involved so it would need to be able to manage both sets of pupils (and moving them from primary in to secondary school)

It would need a reporting engin that could do mailing lables and form letters etc...

God the more i type the more it sounds like access....

I could do a custom app but dont really have the time (nor do i want the hassle)...

Hmm i do know some people looking for a FYP though...

Well in all fairness. It is a decent option. Access with some semi decent VB type front end.

Its not something that is too overly complicated... just alot of hassle :)

tbh i have to agree with this. if you know how to use access (or some sort of equivelent) you're sorted in organising/updating information reguarding each student, it's just a matter of setting up the data bases correctly and the way you need them.

*edit* I'm sure there's better database software out there than Access :) *\edit*
