I read that RC1 should be out in 5 weeks time (with beta 6 next weekend).

In the meantime, you can whet your appetite with this feature list:

    http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=62743

The ones that've hit me so far:
    • Normal, Threaded or Hybrid view (now you know who people are replying to in a thread)
    • WYSIWYG editor
    • Advanced banning system (can now ban for a period of time)
    • Built in user ranking (a la stars) and user rating system (a la karma)
    • Subscriber services whereby a user can gain access to a certain forum by supporting the site through a PayPal payment (woohoo!)
    • Password protected forums

These changes seem great can we expect to see them any time soon. I like the look of the new calander feature.

Subject to approval by the rest of the admins, and a full release being made available from vBulletin, it could happen in 2 months time, but (and I used to hate it when my mother said this), we'll see!

That seems fair and I like the sound of that "We'll See" 'cause when my mam said it, it meant yes. It was her way of saying yes with out looking soft.:D

If so, I think this may be bigamy. I'm in trouble.

Karma, I remember it last time, everyone complained so much it was eventually dropped. Will we be trying it again?

    Karma was the win!

    PMs

    Mass email PMs <<<<

Is that like a mass Spam tool? If so its a no no. Think of the crap some people would multi PM. Good as an admin tool to highlight anouncements etc. And the subscribers package. But not for normal users.

I may have not understood the use of the tool though.

What ever about multiple PMs (say up to 5), mass PMs are a no-no.

Mass PM is a suggested feature, and Jelsoft isn't adding any more features to vB, thank the gods. It's probably requested as an admin function too.
