Since i booted up today im having problems playin any sort of audio on my pc...

Played an mp3 and im getting this ghosty sound as if ive messed about with the bass/treble etc.. sounds like its in church mode a kind of chimey sound..
    Played a dvd
I can hear the voices in films etc but theres literally no bass etc
    A kind of an echo
Ive looked at the below possiblities

Set the graphic equalizer back to default
Checked all cables going into mobo etc and moniter speakers
Checked software xp says all runnin normally...

And ideas here guys would be much appreciated..
Sorry if i didnt explain the above clearly im kind of figgity tonight !

Try uninstalling the audio drivers, restart and let XP install them again.

    what motherboard ?

if it's a via chipset, they have new onboard audio drivers, get them from www.viaarena.com
