    Hi,
I would just like to know when you are driving with a 3 wood how far back should the swing go ? My friend brings the club no higher than his shoulder but when I first started I brought it all the way back ( he still got it further !). What would you recommend?

Unless you are trying to punch a shot low, you should take your usual full swing.

[tip] if you make a full swing in front of a mirrow or window and stop at the top. Your club should not be gone past horizontal in relation to the ground. Look at woods' 3/4 swing on his irons.
    [/tip]

In relation to distance. So much comes into the factor. Swing speed, angle of attack, impact postiion, weight shifting, body mass.
If you are really concerned, you should see a pro about your swing

I have just started the game as well. I have found that it is really difficult to get the complete 3/4 way for the drive. I tend to go off line with it and am not going far enough back to compensate. Would really recommend a lesson as well.

What a world. golf. Get a lesson best few yoyos u ever spent. If u keep playuing u will build bad habits.2-3 lessons is all it will take to get grip and swing right. really low cost compared to messing up on t box. once u can hi t the ball u can enjoy the course and the company
