Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

David Beckham scored his first league goal for Madrid against Real Beatis.Madrid won 2-1 ronaldo the other scorer from a Zidane cross which he finished with style.Beckham played well with good crosses abd just general play.

And if only football careers were based on looks, he might actually be worth a decent sized chunk of that transfer fee.

Looks like La Liga has become the Beckham show on Sky now.

Not really last night Betis played very well and should have earned a point ,one passage of play involved 3 superb angled passes that ripped Madrid apart in a matter fo seconds but Beckham was doing something so it didnt merit any Talktime by the commentators.

It was like that for the night and will stay that way whenever he on TV.

Wel on Sky Sports News for the highlights they talk about Beckham and how great his goal was and then casually say how Ronaldo got the second

The novety will wear off (with Sky) it was his first goal for Real Madrid. Maybe Ronaldos was'nt as good! ;)

what Beckham scored basically amounted to a tap in. Ronaldo had the better goal

why didn't Steve McManaman get all this attention when he moved there

It wasnt his first goal for Madrid it was his first in La Liga though.

Ronaldo's goal was ten times better. The way he finished it was excellant considering the power in the cross.

Beckhans goal was a simple tap in dat a two year old could have scored

There not, based on looks, there based on class skill, which he obviously has,,,,, Goal in one of his 1st matches, class shot that hit the crossbar???

not a bad return on £30million so - a goal and a shot- . I could think of better ways to spend money. Fine hes a GOOD player, not in the same class as some of the other players at the club who r WORLD CLASS. he was bought as a money making tool, pure and simple. They could have gotten a second rate striker who will score them 10 or so goals a season for a fifth of the money, the goal assists isnt abig thng either because lets face it, Real were never exactly struggling for goals b4.
