i wanna hear ppl's fav parts of the game the appearance the charachters the playability , ANYTHING to do with METAL GEAR SOLID can b talked about here
1.solid snake - my fav action guy in any game
2.fatman - my fav baddy
3.the 2 metal gears ( ray and rex ) - which i though were 2 cool tools of these gr8 games and very original
4. the storyline of mgs 1 was gold:ninja:

Sanke = Cool Motherfukka
Meryl = Rightous Babe
Beating Psycho Mantis = deadly

Finding Meryls Codec frequency after 6 months = genius!

MGS2:

Raiden = Rampent Homo
Raiden's bird = Whiney Cow
Ottacon = Sexual deviant
Meryl = Vanished off the face of the earth!

Campbell telling you to turn off your console onwards = WTF????????

I much preferred Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake to Sons of Liberty which I think was the lowest point in the seies. However its a great series and Sons of Liberty is still a fantastic game. Snake is definetly one of my favourite characters ever created and the entire foxhound unit in MGS1 were some of the best villians ever created.

My favourite part:

Psycho mantis moving your controller

On a side note the GBA MGS game is extremely good. It's a side story to the Metal Gear universe.

Almost forgot: Meryl is a babe.

I just got Bleemcast for Metal Gear Solid, so I've been getting back into playing that for the past little while. It's still one of the most enjoyable games I've ever played.

I tried, many times, to get into MGS2, but the sheer volume of the cut-scenes drove me back each time. I've been assured by a guy I work with that it's worth playing through to the end, so I might still try it again.

But not before I play through MGS in all its bleemcasted glory.

twin snakes should be a great laugh, perving on meryl again, only with some tasty cube graphicsww)

Finding out who the ninja was, fighting him, and when he got iced by MG Rex.
Psycho mantis boss fight
The code on the back of the cd case..so simple, yet so ingenious...kojima is a god!!!!
The cut scenes..sure they were long winded, but back in 99 they were revolutionary..sniper wolfs death? The ninja? It was GOLD, people!!

Mgs2

One word: MULLET. That was the ultimate action hero mullet.
Porn mags.
The "wacky" end bit, in arsenal gear.

Jesus, so many good things.

MGS 1:
Psycho Mantis fight.
The battle with Raven in the meatlocker, with him 'redecorating' the place with his minigun.
The gushy bit where you kill the sniper on the snowfield.
The ninja getting crushed against the wall by MG Rex.
Breaking your first enemy neck the first time you play the game

MGS 2:
Meeting 'Pliskin' for the first time.
Kicking Pliskin and him loosing the rag with you.
The guy taking a leak over the side of the building.
Tripping on bird$hit.
Seeing the vampre run across the water.

But the best bit has to be when Snake (Pliskin) blows up the landing that whatshisname is on, only to have him appear on the wing of a harrier jump jet a few seconds later. Quote Snake - "we've got a problem"!!!

I aint played MGS2 yet / dunno why but MGS best bits are:

The ninja carving up the soldiers in the corridor near otacon's lab.

Fighting Vulcan raven in the Cold Storage.

The ninja revealing who he is/ getting crushed by Metal Gear
