    ... but but but it's bigger than the original iPod.

    The nice new small second generation iPod is just THE funkiest mp3 player. I want one. Now!

    It's a *little bigger

    Ipod sound quality is worse.
    Ipod doesnt give you a remote on the phones. You can buy a non lcd one.
    Ipod has no radio.
    Ipod cant record.

    Battery life on iriver = 14 - 16 hours.
    Battery life on ipod = 8/9 at best

    Iriver can be used as a "mass storage device" ie plug into usb 2 and use it as a portable hard drive.

    Iriver can store files in folders - very nice - saves all that mp3 tagging.

    If you put untagged mp3's into an ipod it will display nothing.

    There were some good pics comparing the 2 up somewhere but i can find them.

    hmmm, i was kind of looking for a portable yolky that could record .wav's...
    10 gigs is feck all tho, are there any bigger capacity models on the way?

    There's an IHP-200 due out for christmas,
    20 gig version.

    Personally I cant wait that long :D
