Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Damn shame for the lad. At least giving it up now, he won't be crippled later on in life.

Tis a shame, h could have been good for Ireland, better than "honest Gary" anyway.

Used to watch the lad for Millwall on UTV highlights and a few live sky games.

    Look so promising.

Great shame. Hope whatever he does next works of for him.

Tis a real pity for the lad , we all dream when we're young about being professional footballers but it must really suck to hav ea bright career taken away from you .

If I recall correctly he had a great season a year or two ago and looked really good .

Millwall players , Strikers in particular have been in bad luck in recent seasons , Neil Harris was diagnosed as having testicular cancer about 2 years ago and he was very proimsing too at the time .

Anyway I guess Richie should take some comfort in that it was just his career that was taken from him , could have been much worse as in the case of Jimmy Davis .

All the best for the future Richie !!

Yeah, Its hard not to feel sorry for the lad. Having a dream is one thing, but getting so close to achieving your dream and it not coming together must really hurt.

I hope hes qualified for Life Outside Football. A lot of them arent and find themselves at sea when they leave the womb of a professional club.

    Good luck Richie :)
