Im creating a cd that automatically opens a flash file. Previously i opened a html page and did the check to see was flash installed- if not provides a link on cd to installer..... my question : if one publishes the flash movie as an exe, thereby enabling me to open the application in fullscreen mode, is it necessary to…

No.

You can have any libraries you need on the CD.

If you gave me a CD that automatically opended a flash executable, I'd kill you.

But don't let that stop you.

If it was a presentation cd or some demo i would expect it to open automatically
