This board seems to be picking up pace and i expect it to continue so i think it's time it get its own mod to set some rules and to make sure posts are constructive.

So maybe post some nominations and maybe if the admins agree they can appoint him/her.

We're very lucky that it hasn't happened yet, so far everything has been great thank god. What we don't want is things like you say "ode to my cock" or "ballad of my hymen(sp?)" but what I'm more afraid about is people slagging off others' work which would be very hurtful to the author.

I think we should be quite liberal as I'm all for freedom of expression but should have some rules to stop trolls and to keep there given freedom within some sort of boundary and the rules should have a proviso like "Notwithstanding any of the rules aforementioned the ultimate decision lies with the Admins and forum Mod(s)".

I don't think criticism should be banned outright. As long as it's constructive criticism, everyone should be fine with that, yes?

On the boundaries thing, are people hoping for just serious, carefully written prose/poetry to inspire/enlighten/whatever, or will silliness (of the good sort, humourous/nonsense rhymes etc) be welcomed?

No criticism shouldn't be banned slagging off work should be like if someone was to post something as we got a reply of "that was the biggest load of ****e I ever read" with no reason why to me that should be a very serious offence.

Well that should be debate when the rules are been drawn up I'm in favour of all kinds of works as long as it's not spammy or designed to be offencive, don't get me wrong I want to see some controversial works but none just designed to offend.
