By socialising I meant the late nights, and crappy mornings.
Not to mention the severe lack of funds.

Back when I was in 6th year, I went to the Institute for Christmas revision courses in hons maths & english. As far as I can remember they were fairly expensive. I found the english a complete waste of time except for the odd essay writing tip. The maths teacher was john brown and his notes were nothing short of excellent. I brought my maths result up from a fail in the 5th year summer exam to a B in the LC. The notes were definately a massive help but I also worked VERY hard far it.

My point is, it was the notes and the hard work that paid off. The teaching itself had feck all effect. In fact, I was so behind at christmas tha I didnt have a clue what was going on in the class (of about 400).

I went to the paper 2 maths class and my mate went to paper 1 so I suppose I got my £££ worth

Its all about mental attitude, I know plenty of people who knew that they should have given up drink,Tv,Girl, but didn't because they though of the LC as just this distraction. The point is that you should be willing to give it up if you feel you need to.
