El Alemein not loading

Honestly first the sound fizzles uncontrolably now this. I've reached El Alemein on both campaigns, but it won't load for meh. When I first click on teh level, the preview picture doesn't come up. When I first click on teh level, the preview picture doesn't come up. After clicking 'Load', the loading progress bar flllieeeeeessss across about 6 times before resetting to desktop, leaving me sobbing recklessly and feebly pawing the monitor. 'snot on tbh.

I'm on version 1.2, GeForce MX 420, 512 ddr, XP Pro, AMD Athlon XP 2000+.

Aye I've tried the re-install, did feck all. Drivers are up to date as far as I can tell, I take it my only option is to get the latest patch. Which at 109 megs is going to make Mr. Modem cry
