Generals: Zero Hour

Does anyone know when this baby will be out??
Also, I know in one mission you have to take out a navy fleet. Does this mean that there will be water units as well as land this time? Or will it be a 'take them out with your planes job'?

Dont know about naval units but apparantly there is a mission where the GLA kill all their supporters and take all their food, money & oil for no good reason... then go on a rampage killing everyone they see, but its ok cos the Americans come in and take care of them and dont hurt any innocents, then they give all the food and oil (no really) back and save the day. Just like in real life. seriously.

Good looking game, not bad multiplayer, but really makes stupid political statments at a time when its just bad taste. Would be like releaseing Medal of Honour during WW2. And its very biased against everyone not American. The casual disregard for reality at such a serious time genuinely bothered me. Dont get me wrong i love Mohaa and vietcong alike, but neither game goes out of its way to make the Germans or Vietcong look like mindless thugs! And im not against violance in games at all, but playing c&c generals, i almost fealt like the US state department had scripted some of the gameplay...

Out on the 26th (same day as Commandos 3 - I know which one I'll be buying!)

Wasn't pushed about C&CG, so I don't know much about the expansion pack.

TmB thank god u know about the commando series, ive had all so far and the 3rd looks great. Sad thing is thats it meant to be easier tho, but things are looking good for the MP.

The game on its own is horribly slanted propaganda without the mission pack so its no surprise the expansion will be like that.

As for naval units god forbid that any "enemy" of the USA would have a navey, after all they are just "terrorists"

got my hands on it recently...and I gotta say...improves on the original loads.

new units -GLA bikes , stealth commanche choppers, wave tanks to name a few.

new mp option: choose to specialise in each army

eg.
USA - choose to be a SuperWeapons General, Airforce General or Laser General. [laser is quiet kewl...laser defences like RA. Airforce Gen gets the MOAB upgrade for the Fuel Bomb ]

China gets a Nuke Gen, Infantry Gen

GLA - stealth and toxin.

really adds a new dimension to the gameplay.
And the new "Generals Challenge" pits you and your chosen General against CPU generals in a battle for supremacy.

from what I can tell, the naval units are only in the sp mode and are only available on certain levels [USA level2]

I got the game but have yet to use the Navy in multi player, it's a pitty it would really add to the game like Red Alert.
