There's a flash video of DSL in the link above, and I was impressed at the way they did it, and it's all in plain english too, so even those who aren't tech-savvy can understand it, or pretty much :)

On top of all that, I think they have unlimited bandwidth... Which is just a (pardon the term) pipedream here. I'm sure those of us who wanted to support their own webserver could do so with that package...

    Extract from first comment:
What else shouldn't be changed? Constant order status (both on the web-site and by e-mail). When you shipped the equipment, you sent me the UPS tracking number so I knew when to expect it (important for those of us with no one normally home during the day). Clear installation instructions that actually matched with reality.

I bet Eircon don't give instructions that match with reality  But seriously, if the market was a bit (or a lot) better for internet services over here, I'd say UTV would pretty much be like these guys, as they both have the same dedictaion to the consumer, as I've observed while lurking on these boards.

I have to say I like their 3Mbps ADSL plan. Aren't Speakeasy the company who want their users to resell bandwidth to their neighbors (as the American's would spell it)?

I'm not sure about that actually, though I know someone who uses their service, didn't actually get it from them... I was checking out the latest strip of PVP, and there happened to be an ad for it. It does look good though, and it shows us how far we have to go with our DSL services (I think they also have RADSL on service too), which is a bit depressing...

Of course, I'll be on DSL for about 2 and a half weeks in about 2days time (not in this country, rather Holland)... It'll be such a hard thing to go back to my 31k connection speed... :(

But, if I have my way, I'm going to be declaring war to make sure that that is overwith, no more Eircom to deal with, if it's successful :D
