Hi I'm wondering if you guys can help me.

I moved house on the 1st of September and I was given a cheque for my deposit €1040. I never got to cash the cheque due to the fact it somehow went missing. It was made out to myself so nobody else could cash it.

I asked my rent lady for a new one, about 10 days ago and Still havent heard from her. Her phone is also disconnected.

What are my legal Rights, I have the landlords address aswell as name, and the cheque was from him, I'm thinking go to his house and ask for my money seeing I cant get in touch with the rent lady. Is this appropriate course of action? What would you guys do?
