could a Mod maybe merge the infamous 'ashbourne' thread with this one so that there's one "newly enabled exchanges" thread?

*shakes head in a mentally tired fashion*

Macroom & Newmarket... Id love to see a copy of that Eircom rollout strategy. Maybe some bright spark in a conference piped up with "Right lads, what say we upgrade exchanges in every backwater in Ireland, then our 'dismal DSL takeup' story will hold water with the consumers."

*insert very pissed off statement about Carrigaline DSL here*

Well done Eircom, you're proving to the masses that you have the management skills and collective IQ of bum fluff.

    Unbelieveable :(

While Caherdavin exchange in Limerick remains undone. What's more infuriating is being given no timeframe whatsoever apart from "sometime this year" which I suspect is what I'll be told next year :D

Gombín man, is there anyway/anyone who can give an expected "enabled" date?

    :)

    Kramer,

Next few weeks. I'll keep you posted.

    Regards.

    Excellent stuff ;)

Would be great to have it (or know for certain it's due) before mid October - satellite contract (3 monthly) is up for renewal then.

    Thanks Gombín.

    gombín,

any idea what the situation is with having your line moved from your existing DSL enabled, but very far away exchange to a physically nearer and soon to be DSL enabled one?

I just don't have the stamina to go through the 1901 mill on this one...

Gombin no problem, but Murphy's could never get use to stout being from Nz.Love rum and coke:D

gombín, thanks for all that information. Pity we have to rely on you, but we have no choice...

Can I ask you about Roscrea, Co Tipp, is there any plan to upgrade the exchange there to ADSL, and if so when?

    Thanks

No doubt this is a silly question but...

What exchange is Kildare Town on? I've heard of this Robertstown exchange somewhere around Newbridge. I presume Kildare Town is more than large enough to justify its own exchange as well?

Just to get an idea of when (or if) DSL will be available in Kildare Town.

    Thanks.

    Gombin,
I saw about 5 sets of eircom vans at various points on the road from Limerick to Killaloe, any chance they are preparing for DSL??
    thegills

Any word on Castletroy, Limerick also??

    Proxima,

I had to check that one on the map- wasn't too sure at all where it was. Unless you're on the Athenry exchange it'll be a while I'd say. even at that, I'd still say it's about 5/6 miles to Athenry, which would put it beyond the range of the products eircom offer at the moment.

    Regards.
