The Innuit language has a word that roughly translates as "to like, but not to the extent where you would go on a seal-hunting trip with". If you spend cold winters in a small igloo with a bunch of people you develop precise terms for human relationships.

If I advance, follow me; if I retreat, kill me; if I die, avenge me.

Light and dark cannot exist without one another. Light without dark, they define one another. The balance is your cause.

One may not be able to triumph over evil, but one need not remain silent in its presence

The avalanche has already started. It is too late for the pebbles to vote.

Even a stopped clock, gives the right time, twice aday.

The ability to quote is a serviceable substitute for wit.

The decision doesn't have to be logical; it was unanimous.

The majority of the stupid are invincible and guaranteed for all time. The terror of their tyranny, however, is alleviated by their lack of consistency.

Eagles may soar - but weasels don't get sucked into jet engines!

Education is the transmission of civilization.

Build a system that even a fool can use, and only a fool will want to use it.

The man who smiles when things go wrong has thought of someone to blame it on.

Progress isn't made by early risers. It's made by lazy men trying to find easier ways to do something.

Life ends in death and every day dies in sleep.

Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity... or laziness.

I love quotes, I've got loads of them around the place somewhere :)

My favourites are mostly from Einstein but include:

"And Alexander wept for there were no more worlds for him to conquer."

"When will Vienna be pulling into this train?" -- Einstein

"Ozzymandias, King of kings, look on his works ye mighty and despair".

    "I'm not mad, I'm sane in a crazy world" -- Me :)

"That, is yet another example, of something." Einstein

"Because Physics is easy, and Biology is hard" -- Einstein again, after he was asked why there had been so many breakthroughs in Physics and relatively so few in Biology during his life time.

More as I think of them...
