    i bought one last weekend after the discussion here.

    but i've got a problem and i'm not sure if you buyers have the same story!

    this dvd player works fine but one thing, it does make a BIG noice when it reads DVD, just DVD;
    cd, vcd etc all of these are playing perfectly, no noise at all.

    just wondering any one else has the same problem.

    i'm going to replace one if the problem persists.

    any feedbacks are appreciated.

    I played 3 or 4 DVD since I have mine and it is not making any noise... The 1st one I tested was without the sound and I was sitting right to the player and it was ok, less noisy than my previous player.
    The other DVDs I played were with full volume DTS sound so! :D

    I think you should bring it back...

    I played the (free) Corrie CD in it, and it sounded like something was spinning off balance at the first few minutes of the DVD. Am waiting to try out a few more discs before I act on that.

    Anytime I switch the unit on, I'm reminded of the control deck of Red Dwarf with all the lights :)

    It is what it's.

    I've watched a couple of DVD's in it, and not noticed anything amiss.
    I'll check tonight.
