Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So lads and ladies what is your verdict on last nites games.

United V Pana. - Flattering scoreline, keeper was crap but will take the 3 points. Howard made a good save so that will keep the bald one out for another while. O'Shea is so full of confidence it is gas.

Ranger V Stuttgart - Luck baas, what a poxed goal that Nerlinger got, will be a tough fixture in Germany, Rangers will qualify but cannot see them gettin to much further, Loverkrands got a nice goal.

Chelsea V Sprague - not convincing at all, how rated are Sprague?? Takes duffer to do it. The Chelswee defence looked solid though

Real V Marseille - Fuk this guys are frightening coming forward, defence is still very dodge, Beckham played well, looks out to prove a point

Lazio V Besk - Lazio looked ok, will not go past the groups

AC - Ajax - did not see it..

Good night for British soccer, hopefully more of the same. Rangers did well to come back from behind and secure the points - good start.
Chelsea did well in a tricky away tie. Hopefully Mutu won't be out too long.
Pleased that RVN didn't manage to get a goal against such an obviously weak defence. Like a teenager in a brothel he kept coming too early and getting caught offside:D

man utd - panathanikos were absoloutley rotten to say the least. As the commentator said aswell, ive seen utd play 10x better to start the match with and came out with nothing, they dont do much and 15 mins in they are 2-0 up. Im convinced someone rubbed vaseline all over the keepers gloves though. Fortune goal was well taken but i think that '1 touch football' was a fluke, solskjaer looked as if he was going to control it and it fell to giggs, dito giggs and it fell to fortune ( pretty 'fortunate' eh? :p )

chelsea - i felt a player of crespo's talent really should have taken some of the chances that veron was giving him. I thought veron did well as ive not really seen much of chelsea this season, but he impressed me after all i seen him do at man utd. Least they managed to get a result. I knew duff would be dropped after his outburst (which i read in the paper yesterday), so it was no surprise for me that he didnt start. Done well once he came on as sub though

real - i could never bore of watching this team, going forward they are the best in the world without a shadow of a doubt, although they still managed to lose 2 goals due to the fact theyre defence is still shabby, although to be fair the 2nd header was well taken i thought

Rangers - Glad to see they got a result in the end as it would have been very unfair if they had lost this match, theyre first goal was jammy though. Lovenkrands goal was very well taken.

never really seen the other matches

Yeah we had to settle for five other players scoring. Very disappointing Indeed. I was of the impression that Ruud was Utd Only Goal Scorer .:D I must be hanging round here to much.:)

United like Arsenal are blessed to have frontmen who bag tons of goals but equally importantly they get goals from other areas of the pitch.

Liverpool usually either have one or the other - good frontman while Owen is playing and when he gets injured the goals (eventually) start coming from the midfield.

Not quite sure why Liverpool are being mentioned in a CL thread - apologies, it's a bad habit.

    Anyone see the Madrid match?

Beckham played a stormer. I never liked Beckham, basically beause I didn't see him as a great player for United but he is after learning a few things from Zidane, R.Carlos, Ronaldo and co. There was things he did last night that he never did in his life on a football pitch and even the commentators admitted that.

If he plays like that more often I might have time to admire him.

I was bored nearly to tears watching United in the second half .... But I suppose there was no need to do anything other than keep a clean sheet!!

I thought that Fergie would have subbed RvN at half time 'cause he was saying he was tired after the Charlton match at the weekend ... he did look a bit jadded at times!!

It was good to see Butt knocking in a goal!!
