Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I think its impossible for anyone in here to be impartial.. Even though Muppet is a United supporter and I shouldnt agree, he is very right.. One game does not signify failure.

I seem to remember some English side having a great 3 nil win over Roma away last season in the CL. Who was it again? Oh yeah, Arsenal...

heh no need as all i did was just prove the point in your post correctly with a fact, it wasnt ment as a dig at you, it was aimed towards smemon.

the point of your original post is that he obviously isnt wasted if they could sell him for more than they bought.. ? (thats what i took it as anyway... :))

i was just pointing out that smemon seemed to think he was 2 million when really he was 900k, cant be very wasted if your pricing him over a million on the original tag :)

    sorry for the confusion

if i remember correctly balde came in with 2 other players, perhaps sylla and guppy? i know 2 if not all three cost in and around 2m.

im one of balde's biggest fans, and celtics too. carragher is not brave, he doesnt throw himself at balls in both boxes like balde, he's not as strong either. celtic will ruin most class players, larsson an exception, but dont get me wrong, its not celtic's fault, its the scottish league's.

o 'neill in my view is the best manager in the world. however scottish league isnt strong enough to develop quality players to their full potential. players get lazy and sloppy and get punished in europe and big matches.(just like munich).

as for arsenal beating roma, it was one of very few defeats italians suffered at home.

O'Neill is a quality manager, he is not one of the best in the world however, he has won virtually nothing of any importance. On your logic, I could say Houllier is one of the best managers because he has won loads of trophies, which is bollix. O'Neill needs to prove himself at the highest level before you can say that, Leicster and Celtic are not at the highest level in the modern game.

As for Carragher, the man throws himself at every ball that comes near him. Its blatantly obvious really. Granted he is not a strong.

Arsenal do have a chance if not a good chance of beatin Inter away, Arsenal cant handle Highbury coz' its too small. The San Siro is a nice big pitch and Newcastle came away with a draw and are inferior to Inter and Arsenal. If Arsenal beat Loko and Moscow twice then they will go through.
