Actually I think what it is is that if you are the moderator of a board you rank as founder.

Overall ops (such as Cloud, Myself Regi and Vex) are ranked as Q's.

Non-registered peeps are called Redshirts (from Star Treks ill fated but unexhaustible supply of nobodies)

And registered posters are Borg (ie the collective).

This structure has been in place since the boards started almost and no one has complained about abuses of power or "class structure" so I dont think there is any worry about us suddenly going power mad because we are called Q

The new board sees fit to label people with the rank, god only knows why but I suppose its to see if someone has registered or not.

It was always like this... there used to be Administrators, Moderators, Members and Junior Members, which were printed in the same place. Its just that in the latest update, you could rename them, so they're now q, founder, borg and red shirt

I'd rather if those little names weren't there. It's the first thing you see before you read the post. Makes it a different reading for everyone. Shouldn't happen that way. I don't care, but it'd be nicer without them.
