Does anybody know the situation with stone damage to windscreens since the NCT was changed, ie what is acceptable?

Shouldn't be a problem on your vespa

Get the NCT Guide from the Govt publications office - lists all the tests and margins.

Scratchs in area covered by wipers are more serious than outside and driver central viewing area most important.

Our car passed on condition that the windscreen was changed

if you have a crack or chip in your windscreen within the sweep of the wiper blade on the drivers side 10mm or under your ok. otherwise you have to get the chip repaired or replace the screen

5 years is a bit long now for an answer, don't you think?
