    just a few small questions

    1: im looking for a vnc program that will accept dial up connections ( eg you do not need to be on the net to get connected to the computer .) that isnt pc anywhere

    2: on my network when i assign ip's to each of the computers i can no longer get net access to them . they can still see eachother on the network and communicate to eachother.i know its somthing small im forgetting to do but i cant for the life of me see it ( using win2k/xp home+ pro)

    1. Laplink - turns up on PC mag CD-ROMS regularly.
    2. If you assign IPs, you'll also have to specify the default gateway i.e. the address of the PC/router/whatever with internet access. If you're using Windows ICS, the wizards will step you through this. Any other internet sharing app (Wingate, Winroute, etc) should have similar setup procedures.

    On the internet sharing problem, 2 words.... default gateway!

    make sur ethat the computers have the computer tha's ON the interweb have that address as the default gateway,, or tell your DHCP server to assign it!
