    Good:

The Ventures- Wild thing (ultra cool Peter Lorre vocals)
    Dream Theater - Yes covers
both Sublime's and Bob Marley's covers of The Toyes 'Smoke Two Joints'
    Flying Lizards - 'Money'
Somebody's (!?) cover of The Call's 'I still believe' (with saxes)
Manhattan Transfers' "Birdland" by Joe Zawinul/Weather Report

    Bad:
Elvis - Roger Whittaker's 'The Last Farewell' (Roger sounds like a lonely sea captain....Elvis sounds like....well, let's just say there isn't a 'sea captain' bone in his body) :)
Donny Osmond's cover of Johnny Mathis's '12th of Never'

    Be interesting to hear:

Nazareth's cover of Tomorrow's 'My White Bicycle'
and what would Stevie Nicks' version of the song that Trevor Rabin wrote for her, 'Love Will Find a Way', sounded like if Yes had not grabbed it for themselves? :)

Dirtiest song ever written in the English language:
    'Come On Eileen'

RCHP - higher Ground - originally by Stevie Wonder

    Was gonna say that aswell,
but also a singer/guitarist Ellen McIlwaine does a cover version of it.
I'd rank it as good as the RHCP version, very different tho.
Fatboy Slim used it as a sample aswell, great tune worth checking out.

My favorite Reel Big Fish cover would actually have to Brown eyed girl or Boys don't cry. And I would hope I needn't mention who wrote those two.

It seems to be the common theory that it was them on the likes of Soulseek etc etc. But I've never found any solid confirming evidence. **** even some of the copies of the Goldfinger cover of up the junction are creditied to RBF. Seems like whenever someone makes a funny ska song or ska cover, everyone assumes it was RBF.

josé gonzález - heartbeats (the knife)
biffy clyro - take me out (franz ferdinand) ****s all over the orignal.
ben folds - video kill the radio star (some random 80's artist).

    the worst...

colin farrell - I fought the law (the clash).

    so bad it's funny

The worst ever cover version of a song has got to be U2s version of Kraftwerks: "Neonlight".
