Has anyone any links to european websites and what is the story on importing from another european country, do you have to pay VAT entering Ireland?

* There is NO WAY I'm giving Pixels an extra €443 for a the pleasure of doing business with them.

I think the just under €1000 price tag is about right for europe unfortunately..

don't buy in ireland unless you want to be ripped off..

i bought my digital camera in the states, for nearly half the price.

the only store with decent prices around here that i know of is amazon. they have your camera up on:

i recently bought a canon g3....i did a lot of shoppin around and eventually bought from cam reland.com. very happy with both camera and service. id be very careful where i choose to buy if i were u coz buyin cameras online is very very dodgy. avoid the likes of aacamera and hotbuyselectronics. if u buy from the us adapters cud b an issue. best of luck and i hope u save a packet like i did(nearly half the price)

I bought a Canon S45 on Amazon recently and had it delivered to a mate in England who was comi8ng over soon after. I saved at least EUR 180 doing that. The reason I had it delivered to my mate was because I wasn't sure if I'd be hit for import duty. I've heard that the crowd who handle international parcels are a bit more diligent than An Post when it comes to collecting.

New York Camera in Germany (yeah I know) have it for €927.00.
Price includes a 1 gig Microdrive.
Delivery should be no more than €15 to €20.
I have bought from this company on more than one occasion and can recommend them.
Ring them (they have an english guy who answers the 'phone) to check stock before you order though.
