I am a painter and I have done this site http://www.fabricerenaud.com/ to present my work.

But now I have a new batch of paintings to add and I really don't feel like creating new html pages for each one of them.

I would like to replace the actual html gallery by a database which will allow to do search by themes (color, size, etc)

Php seems a good solution but I really can't learn the language, don't know html either I used dreamweaver.

So I went to hotscript to find a readymade one but couldn't find any that would suit my needs.

How much would it cost to get someone to custom do a php script for my site?

Btw I haven't sold anything so far so I am on a very tight budget.

Depending on who you get it could range from €200 - €2000.

I'm sure there are a few people on these boards that would do it in their spare time.

If you're willing to crop and upload the images yourself, I'd be happy to do it for one acrylic on canvas or two acrylics on cardboard. My choice from the existing gallery; but FYI I'd be picking on appeal, not price.

It is difficult to get a script that is exactly what you are looking for, but here are a few to look at:

    http://linpha.sourceforge.net/nuke/index.php

or go to http://sourceforge.net and search for image gallery

Email sent. You'll need to drop me a line to arrange IM, I'm not particularly fond of it so I have it off by default.

I investigated this a while ago - hope to use it soon if i ever finish what im working on now...but as per joe/jjsolutions post, checkout Gallery on sourceforge.net - many of the sites featured or given as examples are those of photographers and artists so i would imagine they would be particularly relevant to you.

Its php based and of course, open source.

An excellent script imho. It's a pity that it doesn't integrate with vBulletin, but apart from that I love it
