is there honestly a big difference between the 9800 and the 9800 pro ?

i mean, ive been looking at the the 9800 on komplett for ~314eur..

is it honestly worth going the extra mile for the pro at ~ 407eur ?

    Clockspeeds

    9800: Core 320 Mem 275
    9800 Pro: Core 380 Mem 320

Might be incorrect speeds but u get the point.

would it not be better to just overclock to pro speeds?

or overclock the pro ? :)

I would save the money and get the non-pro it will overclock to nearly the same levels as the pro will overclock to.
You would hardly notice the difference in games anyway.

Just wait a day or two for the 9800XT

It would be madness to buy a 9800 now, when prices are expected to drop at the introduction of the 9800XT on Tuesday (Sep 30th).
It's expected that the XT will launch at 9800Pro prices while the current 9800 & 9800 Pro prices will be reduced.

Surely the XT will be delayed to coincide with the release of HL2..

    Why?
They want to get their product out as soon as possible.
People are going to buy it for the games anyway!
