Puppet movie

A guy at work seems to recall an old movie shot using puppets and needs to know the name of it. All he can remember is the following vague info, 1.It was very scary at the time he saw it 2.There is and old woman who has some sort of astrology chart or model of the universe which she shows to the 2 main characters at one…

A guy at work seems to recall an old movie shot using puppets and needs to know the name of it.
All he can remember is the following vague info,
1.It was very scary at the time he saw it
2.There is and old woman who has some sort of astrology chart or model of the universe which she shows to the 2 main characters at one point
3.The baddies are sorta in black cloaks and can fly.

I have a suspission he drempt ,but if such a film exists can someone please give me the title.

If it has puppets, could be a Jim Henson film. Sounds like "The Dark Crystal" to me, but could be "The Neverending Story" too. Need more info about the film.

Yeah the dark crystal that nmust be it by the looks of it.
Its not the never ending story that was my first suggestion.
