Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

No sh*t Sherlock, A1 on the detective skills...seeing as she reported it to a Central London police station...:p (inserted in case she just happens to be from London, but it happened outside the capital;) )

    Seriously, here's a url if anyone's interested...

Is there a rough date on when the incident occured? Has it just been reported or is it only reaching the press now or did they know about it for a while and just waiting to check facts(highly unlikely with english press).

Could be Millwall, have my doubts that it is premiership but I'm just speculating without any clue...

all the news channels are saying she consented to have sex with 1 premiership footballer. 7 players from another premiership team proceeded to have a gang bang with her. whether it is true or not i don't know. this seems like another Koby Bryant sort of scenario to me but who knows

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,267 ✭✭✭p.pete

That rules out Millwall so:D I've got an axe to grind with Charlton at the moment but I'm not going to start pointing fingers. Do Arsenal have 7 players? not sure if their squad is that deep though - they're cleared:D

how funny would it be if it was man u or arsenal players :)

As always, if whoever it happens to be is found guilt, hope they get the book thrown at them...

And don't forget vagga, until someone is found guilty there may have been no incident at all (unless it's a case of who has the better lawyers).

Maybe it's a sign that Claudion isn't able to control such a large squad. It's showing up on the pitch but could be cracks beginning to show.

Liverpool were caught with their pants down 2 or 3 seasons ago after a christmas party. That was in Liverpool but I don't think there was any suggestions of rape at the time.

Yeah truly hilarious. This is a truly wacky story! FFS!!!!!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 106 ✭✭BigDaddyKone

i doubt it's arsenal seeing as half the team are gay (campbell, ljunberg, ectera) but then again Newcastle were visiting highbury and with the players they have (bowyer, woodgate, bellemy, etc) .

Until it is confirmed then it pointless speculating.

Remember the Micheal Flathley case of late.

If it is true then the bas**rds should be locked up, regardless of who they are

You have a seriously perverted view of humour.

I would imagine it is a non-london club. Why would a london team be staying in a london hotel?

I am not takin this issue as a joke, but I saw this on another forumn and could not pass it by.

"It won't be Liverpool as they would never mange to get 7 players in the box"

    I know.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,267 ✭✭✭p.pete

Unless it was a defensive situation, guess that would imply that she was trying to rape the liverpool lads though:D

I was wondering when this thread would degrade to this level of sick humour. This is a very serious issue wheather or not it has been proven.

I think the mods should monitor this thread carefully.

The news reports say it happened this weekend possibly Saturday.

    none of us know anything..

It could be anyone, it could be Arsenal gathering in a hotel before they went to russia for their european game or newcastle after their game on friday..

or it could some girl talking waffle, like the girl who tried to get money out of flatley a few months ago..

But since this is a discussion forum there is no harm talking about it..

Thats possible but I think we would have heard about it before today if it happened Friday.

Not to good on the Geography of England but the teams in the frame so far seem to be Liverpool and Aston Villa and possibly Newcastle but as I said above this would have made headlines in the Sunday papers if it happened Friday.

lets keep this as a discussion on the subject - given the subject matter, if it goes off topic Im going to have to lock it as its one of those subjects that some people would get annoyed about if people starting messing...

Has to be either Newcastle or Villa.

Unfortunately my bets on Newcastle, remember Oliver Bernard was accused of something similar just before the end of last season.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 14,013 ✭✭✭✭eirebhoy

This is either a lie or over exagerated. If it isn't a lie I'd say the players obviously thought she was a lot older and were messing around with her. One of them probably had sex with her, but I can't see more than one, and the rest were intimidating her.

I don't think there is one team in the premiership that has seven players who would do something serious to a girl and expect to get away with it. Can you imagine if it was Newcastle, Shay Given, Kieron Dyer and Alan Shearer raping a 17 year old.

I hope for everyones sake , especially the girls, that this isn't true.

I agree with eireboy I don't think you could pick 7 players from many Premiership teams that would be capable of this.

Either way I'm sure the Media will find the story great and BLOW IT OUT of all proportions.

how in the name of god does a picture labelled "A picture of a football stadium" tell you it is Newcastle?

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,164 ✭✭✭Space Coyote

It is hard to think of 7 lads from any Premiership club that could do such a thing, but if they were all pissed and had the horn then God knows ! If it's true they should all be names, shamed and locked up.

The word is Newcastle Utd are the Team concerned

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 106 ✭✭BigDaddyKone

because, if you look at the picture, it is newcastle versus arsenal.

I hear from 'a source' Bowyer was involved too.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,164 ✭✭✭Space Coyote

Well if Bowyer's involved then I'd say his lapdog Woodgate was sniffing around aswell ! Can't see Alan Shearer having anything to do with the incident though.

who exactly has said it was Newcastle United mobby

Sir Booby was saying in the last week that he was telling boyer that he wants the old boyer. Something along the lines of Lee is trying to do everything perfect at the moment but we didn't sign the new lee boyer we want the old one to come back.

Very unfortunate if it turns out to be Newcastle...

Latest rumour I saw is that it was newcastle (but not bowyer strangely). A pacey england and newcastle midfelder who is mostly injured was involved along with a defender drinking buddy of his who plays for Man Utd.

    Probably total rubbish of course.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,164 ✭✭✭Space Coyote

I've heard from a source that a Charlton player brought the girl to the hotel where 7 Newcastle players were waiting. Allegedly.

So if it was Waterford United V Cork City then it has to be either Cork or Waterford!

The general consensus does appear to be that NUFC are the team (allegedly) involved but of course absolutely no proof of this...just rumours.

I heard that one player was in the act with this girl when 7 other players came into the room to watch for a laugh.
This player then decided that it would be funnier if he had anal sex with the girl when she didn't want to.

I heard there was 10 players, four rugby coaches and a tennis star purple monkey dishwasher

    Football stars face 'rape' inquiry
Police are investigating an allegation a teenager was raped in an incident reportedly involving eight Premiership footballers.
Scotland Yard has confirmed a 17-year-old girl made a complaint at a central London Police station on Saturday.

It involves an alleged incident at a hotel in London over the weekend.

Detectives from Operation Sapphire, the Metropolitan Police's task force to tackle sex crimes, will take a full statement from the girl within the next few days before making further inquiries with anyone she says was involved in the alleged attack.

Anyone being investigated will be going to see their lawyers
    Solicitor Mark Stephens
Police are also likely to have sought samples for DNA evidence and examine any CCTV footage from the hotel.

The girl is believed to have undergone medical examination at a rape counselling suite.

Solicitor Mark Stephens said any suspects could expect a police interview within a month.

"If found guilty this is a very serious matter and the starting point is five years' imprisonment for rape, aiding and abetting rape is two to three years,"

this sounds the most accurate because on a lot of sites it says that there was one player from one team and seven from another.
