To Forgive by The Smashing Pumpkins & Placebo's "Burger Queen" are my favourites, but I'd be interested in listening to some similar stuff by other artists. Any idea's?

I never thought I'd see Napalm Death mentioned in a "Nice and mellow" thread... I'm gonna check it out now, just because of that.

I'd suggest the entire "Grace" album by Jeff Buckley, or "Version 2.0" by Garbage. Not really Rock & Metal, but still good enough to mention, I think.

I've got "Grace" alright. It just doesn't stick with me. I guess it's one of those albums that just gets better with age. Still looking for that Napalm Death song. The name intrigues me :)

Imagine a load of guys from Birmingham, playing their instruments as randomly as possible in a trash-metal stylee, and with a bloke screaming like an unhappy gorilla down the microphone.

Check out their biggest single "Scum" for a good indication.

Lol. Yeah, I can't say I'm all that impressed with The Lifeless Alarm. "In Flames - Acoustic Medley" is cool though.

Iron Maiden have a few nice easygoing tunes. Try Wasting Love or Journeyman (the last one probably doesn't really count as rock or metal, but it's a damn good mellow tune by a metal band, so...)

Metallica- Turn the page (forget the original artist, but it's a nice tune either way)

An awful lot of Judas Priest's music has a mellow quality to it. United, Take on the world, Green Manalishi, Living after midnight, all easygoing metal...

    Green Day-time of your life
