Bios flashing

I ahve a chaintech socket a mother board with an athlon xp2600+ and I'm told I need to update my BIOS.I'm running windows xp.Now the site tells me to download the new bios and press ALT+F2 when the comp is booting to enter the bios flashing program but there would seem to be no suce program.Other than that it says to boot…

But win XP wouldnt seem to let me boot to dos.Do I need to use a dos boot disk and the follow this procedure.
Whats the easiest way to go about this.

why do u HAVE to flash your bios

my motto is if it's working 100% now

why try to fix it??

I agree with Cr3m0,
however you do need
1/ a boot floppy
2/ an unzipped bios update
3/ The bios flashing program itself
