As I've said in a previous thread, the same people that were calling for Healy to play are now calling for Miller to get his game even though Healy hasn't done it for us!

We need experienced on form players for such an important match.

i'd LOVE to get england, its be 6/7 years since we last played them, the time they had a fit when they were losing.

Why? That would be a killer of a match for us. Why wouldn't you prefer Scotland instead??

somehow i think uefa would fix the playoffs if ireland and england were in them.

Not too convinced about O Brien. I would aslos question the sense of playing such an unproven midfiel in what is such an important match. I can imaging the press if kerr went with this selection and we lost. The time for experimenting is after the next game and maybe the selection would work its just not the time fro messing with the team.

apparently defender Murat Yakin may be about to walk out on the swiss squad. He's annoyed at a public statement by Johann Vogel and Stephane Henchoz saying that he gets preferential treatment from the manager!

I was just reading the Irish Times and the Star and they both said the same things about the training yesterday. they said that Duff was on the right wing for a long time, Finnan was playing left full for most of the training and O'Shea was tried in centre half for a bit. I hope thats the way it goes tomorrow too.

They also reported that Brain Kerr has in the past sent out the wrong singles in training deliberatly to throw the other teams off.
