GPRS Settings problem (o2)

    i recently got a new siemens s55 and rang up o2 customer support because i couldnt get the GPRS working. they sent me out settings...still ntohing is working. i searched on boards and tried the settings here

    still nothing works. when i click on homepage or enter a url, it just does nothing, doesnt even try to connect, its as if i didnt press anything.

    have since been onto o2 again...they dont have any more ideas :(
    any advice?

    Postpay & Prepay CSD WAP Settings for the Siemens S55

    Go to main menu and select Surf and Fun > Internet > profiles, highlight a profile and click Edit

    Enter settings as follows:

    Profile Name: o2 wap gprs
    IP address: 192.168.090.074
    Port: 9201 for non secure / 9203 for secure (this would be used for banking etc.)
    Homepage: http://www.o2.ie
    GPRS lingertime: 5 minutes
    CSD lingertime: 150 seconds
    Conn. Profile: Highlight this and press edit, then select an empty profile. Move down and highlight Edit then press select
    Enter the following settings:
    Profile name: csd home
    Highlight CSD settings and press edit and enter the following settings:
    Dial-up number is +353868106040
    Call type: ISDN
    Login Name: Leave blank
    Password: Leave blank
    Press save and ok, then highlight GPRS settings, click edit, change activated to no. Click save and ok three times.

    Turn the phone off and back on. To access the wap service, go to Surf & Fun > Internet > Homepage.

    Go to main menu and select Messages > Msg. setup > MMS, highlight a profile and click Options and Change sett.

    Enter settings as follows:

    Expiry time: 1 week
    Priority: high
    Def. duration: 010.0 seconds
    Retrieval: automatic
    MMS relaysrv.: mmsc.mms.o2.ie:8002
    IP settings: 192.168.090.074, scroll to port and set to 9201 then press ok
    Conn. Profile: press arrow left or right to select a GPRS profile (eg. o2 gprs home). Press Ok.
    Press the red hang up button, highlight the profile you set up, press options and activate.


    Turn the phone off and back on. To send a Multi Media message go to Messages > new MMS. (If the service is still not working after going through these settings, you may need to check the gprs wap settings you selected as the connection profile.)

    From main menu go to settings > connectivity. Scroll down to data services > mail, java, Rms > highlight a profile and click options > rename and call it csd email. Again highlight csd email and press edit (you may get a message “Changes may effect application. Continue?" Say yes if you do). Highlight GPRS settings and press Off. Highlight CSD settings and press Edit.

    Enter the following:
    Dial up number: +353866066020
    Login name: register@o2.ie
    Password: guest
    DNS 1 (opt.): 062.040.032.033
    DNS 2 (opt.): 062.040.032.034

    Click save, go back to the main menu and into messages > msg. Setup > e-mail > accounts > highlight a profile click options then change settings > user settings and enter the following:
    Provider: press the right arrow until it’s at “csd email ”
    Username: Your name as you would like it displayed to your mail recipients (e.g. Joe Bloggs)
    E-mail addr.: your o2.ie mail address *
    Reply-t.addr.: user preference
    User ID: Your o2.ie username (e.g. joebloggs@o2.ie) *
    Password: Your o2.ie password *
    Press OK, highlight mail settings and press select.
    Downl. Only mails smaller than <?> kbyte: User preference
    Leave copy on server?: user preference
    Types: POP3
    POP3 server: pop3.o2.ie *
    POP3 port: 110
    SMTP server: smtp.o2.ie
    SMTP port: 25
    SMTP Authentic.: No

    Press OK then go back to the Accounts menu, highlight o2 email and press Activate. To use the mail service go to Messages > New e-mail OR inbox > Send/rec e-mail.

Make sure there is a tick beside GPRS (if not press Change), then go down to data services > mail, java, Rms > highlight a profile and click options > rename and call it gprs email. Again highlight gprs email and press edit (you may get a message “Changes may effect application. Continue?" Say yes if you do). Highlight GPRS settings making sure there's a tick beside it and press Edit.

    Enter the following settings:
    APN: internet
    Login name: gprs
    Password: gprs
    DNS 1 (opt.): 062.040.032.033
    DNS 2 (opt.): 062.040.032.034

    Click save, go back to the main menu and into Messages > Msg. Setup > E-mail > Accounts > highlight a profile press Options, Rename and call it o2 email. Again highlight o2 email, press options then change settings > user settings and enter the following:
