Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anybody know how long this bus takes to do a full journey?

Roughly forever. It's a notoriously slow service. Avoid if possible.

Think of it as a day out on your bus pass when you're a pensioner

About 40 minutes, but likely to vary a lot. It takes about 20 minute to get to Ranelagh going in either direction. It will of course move much faster late at night and much slower at peak times.

    Avoid at rush hour

A similar route, the 17 has times for points on the journey...

Also the 63 is another place to stay out of the rain..

    Hi,

I know this is an old one but just wondering is people know if the 18 bus service has improved at all?

I am looking at renting in Drimnagh & work on Baggot Street so the route would suit provided it is somewhat reliable.

Alternatively does anyone know anything about the 122 bus route that goes to Grand Canal Dock?

    Thanks

The 122 does not go to Grand Canal Dock.

    Your options are:
18 from Crumlin Hospital to Baggot Street. Journey time (peak hour) appx 30/40 mins.Time taken from terminus about 25/30 mins to Crumlin Hospital.

Otherwise any of 50, 56A, 77, 77A will take you to Pearse Street and Ringsend Road (Grand Canal Dock) and you could walk up from there, while the 151 bringing you to Bachelors Walk/Custom House Quay and the 150 to Dame Street.

Routes 121, 122 and 123 take a more circuitous route and drop you to Dame Street.

Routes 10 and 10A bring you to Baggot Street from College Street (stop CY).

At peak times the service can completely fall apart from Grosvenor Road in Rathmines to Leeson Street Upper.
