    ok im looking for a video card that i can connect up my vcr to my pc

    so am i looking for a video out or video in(i think its in isnt it) on the card

    want to convert some of my vhs videos to dvd

    i have all the software too but unsure of the what kind of card i need
    the guy in the shop told me it would be around 200 plus so i tild him feck off

    checked out amazon but unsure which one to get

    first of all amazon aint the best for computer components try sites like

    i havn't a clue what type of card does this task that your looking at but i'm sure some1 else can help you out there

    Your basicly looking for a Tv card right??
    You can get an Input signal from a Tv ariel or from a Vcr. There starting from around €45 , Here .

    It will slot into your PCI bay and you will not have to touch your graphics card. Mabye ive picked you up wrong , ie you actually want a new graphics card with Tv input features....... in that case your looking at an AIW (all in wonder) card or This ?? .

    You need a capture card with Composite and/or S-Video/scart input.
    Advisably with hardware MPEG-2 compression aswell (for making SVCDs/DVDs).
    Also, a fast hard drive might be an idea too.
    Or a second one, dedicated to ripping.
