Im on a LAN, actually a student village LAN and Im unable to connect to the LAN to view other machines for file sharing etc. Other people on the LAN can see each other though. The error is "access permission not granted...etc". Im able to browse the net though, this is offered by the LAN, could it be my 10/100 ethernet card thats the problem, Im running WIN XP home. Could it be some settings Ive over looked?

Sorry, I actually sorted it. Some mate had installed ZoneLAN on my machine saying it would be good, I deleted that and then it worked peachy.
