The subject says it all. Whats your favourite promo, who's it by,and when was it(if you can remember)....

These aren't my fav's,just the ones that are etched in my mind, cos they were so funny/good.......in no particular order:

A couple of months ago,Hogan and Rock were talking, and kane comes in and does these hilarious impressions of them before their match. It was on SD, just before the roster split.

Armaggedon 2000:The rock takin the piss out of everyone who was in the hell in a cell match that night.

But the one that stands out most is the time(Please,Nero let me know when this was,id like to see it again) when The Ultimate Warrior was being interviewed by Mean Gene,i think, and all of a sudden this Black Blood started seeping from his forehead...it was awesome.

There are more, but id like to see others choices, and think some more!!!

One of the best was actually from the Oldskool era
Summerslam 89 - Gene Oakerlund was interviewing Ravishing Rick Rude and the banner falls down behind them. It was edited out for the video release, but i saw it live and it was comical!
Said promo can be found on the funniest moments DVD.

    Yeah, Armageddon 2000 was class!
"It could be Kurt Angle, which means I'm gonna drink a big glass of Milk!!!, eat some chocolate chip cookies and then maybe take three viagra!!"

    Royal Rumble 2001:
Rock - "Is the Undertaker gonna side with Kane? Is Kane gonna side with The Undertaker? Does Kane wanna give the Undertaker a box of chocolates? Does the Undertaker wanna tickle Kane's big red nipple? It doesn't matter!!!"

Wrestlemania X8 - The Rock's promo when he gets Coach to say his prayers and Coach gets on his knees and goes "Whaddup G?" Too funny!

Cianan2 - Good luck getting your hands on that promo, it was on a Superstars Of Wrestling show around July/August 1991. It lead to a meaningless angle where Jake Roberts was going to teach the Warrior about the Dark side. It lead to Robert's heel turn just before Summerslam where he locked Warrior in a room full of Snakes and he got bitten. The feud died two weeks later when Warrior went AWOL after Summerslam that year. That was the thing about The Undertaker. His character was way ahead of it's time.

Remember when Rock asked Coach who his favourite singer was,and coach said Barry Manilow?! That was hilarious, and he started doing the little dance!!! Haha.

Rock was always good at the promo's-especially when being interviewed by Kevin Kelly!!!

I also remember a really good DX promo where at the end of it they speed off in a car screaming "Seeya Michael Cole, you look like Pettingill!"

Which at the time was true because Cole wasn't a goatee wearin' little bitch at the time.

I cracked up at the time :)

Foley (Mankind) at brakedown (im not sure)

"you see kevin kelly im surrounded by stupidity, when i broke Gerry Griams guns because i wanted then for my self that was pritty silly, when i saw a grown man uranating on an electric fence in retrospect that was pritty stupid, when the president of this unitted states sacerfaces the securaty of this country by sleeping with a girl that even i would have turned down in highschool now that was a stupid thing, but nothing is as stupid as the peoples elbow and if you think for one second that im going to lie down on live ppv and sell that abomination of a finishing move then my friends you are sadly mastaken. Frosty covered testies is that some new kinda breckfast serial"

Im not sure if i got it 100% perfect but u get the drift. Also foley and Kurt these two did brilent work together "listen i dont care if you had diarear at the olimpics i dont care if u have direar at the mouth your fighting" "if you were my wife"

    Jeraco stephany also good

I am just so fond of the promo Foley did when he turned into Cactus Jack for the Royal Rumble.

After weeks of being made a fool of, he is on the ramp talking about Mankind is a broken down fool and an entertaining son of a gun.

But when he started talking about a new opponent for HHH, I got shivers when he did this line

"I think you know the guy"...off with the mask and opening the shirt "And his name is Cactus Jack" - I got so many shivers, typical angry Cactus promo but hot damn it was cool

Haha you can't beat Goldust dressed as Steve Irwin checkin out the chicks in the showers think it was on Raw sometime in the last year. Actually anything to do with Goldust usually goes down well.

You mean like when Goldust was stripped down to S&M gear by Piper at the end of Wrestlemania XII?

Each to their own I guess... we'll live and let live, draw a discreet veil over that and you trust me never to tell a soul ;)

Nah, I know the one you're referring to. Last years KOTR.

"Don't talk like the rock, don't use that eyebrow, don't wear my t-shirt, take it off!!... no no no wait a minute, better leave it on.. you pay for that?"

Rock: Bigger than the peoples elbow.... bigger than the spinarooni... bigger than the..... what the hell do you do anyway?!
Goldust: Ohhhh i have more ammunition in my cannon than you could ever....
Rock: What?! You sick freak, nobody wants to talk about no ammunition in no cannon, especially yours!!!

Truely classic, what you can expect from Rock tho...

Another great was when the coach was interviewing the great one and on finishing

''if you smell look at the tongue look at the tongue look at the tongue what the rock is cooking''

    ROCKY what a man.
Better get off this pasnsy hollywood buzz and get back to what he does best.

About 2 yrs ago,The Rock (again!!!!) was being interviewed by Michael Cole-he had the WcW belt round his shoulder, and decided to sing Steph a Birthday Song.....

    "Happy Birthday to Steph,
You're a Hoe with Big Breasts,
So take the night off from Hooking......
If ya smell waht the rock is cooking!!!"

    So funny,that man is.

Shortly before that was Unforgiven 2001. And Steph is at RVD's locker room door saying how much she hates Jericho and how it would be the best birthday present it would be to her if he beat Jericho.

Only Jericho is standing behind her!

Jericho: So it's your birthday? How old you gonna be? 38?
Steph: Actually I'm gonna be 25!
Jericho: No no no, I asked how old you were not how many men you slept with in the last week!

Jericho: I'll even bring some party balloons *looks at Stephanie's chest*... oh wait, I see you already brought the baloons!

    The stuff of legends.

Jericho:Here's a picture of Stephanie last year.
Now,here's a picture of her now(Boobs are huge)
The theme to summerslam is"let the bodies hit the floor",but i say let the boobies hit the floor!!!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,461 ✭✭✭NeroTheExtreme

I bought the Summerslam 2001 DVD a month ago and the amount of "let the boobies hit the floor" and "Steph - Got Milk?" signs all over the crowd.

Speaking of Summerslam 2001 - The amount of times Shawn Stasiak tried to get The Rock and kept missing. Hilarious!

Was that not the Ultimates Warriors Feud with Papa Shango?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,461 ✭✭✭NeroTheExtreme

I'm convinced that it was during the Warrior/Snake/Undertaker feud, but now that you mention it.

The thing was, the Papa Shango feud didn't last any more than two weeks. He was meant to feud with Sid, but Sid was turfed out because McMahon had been called on for the steroid trials. That and he fact that Sid couldn't handle being a main eventer so early in his career.

Then when the Papa Shango feud was under way, they changed the Summerslam location to the UK and Warrior was booked against Savage. There was no chance in hell Shango/Warrior was gonna help sell out Wembley!
