    Surely it's about time that Boards.ie has a Christmas Count-Down counter banner on it's home page?

    Btw, it's only 90 days to Christmas. Whoohoo!

    It's far too late to be doing this now. This should have been planned and developed 90 days before LAST Christmas so the counter should have been turned on on New Years Day. Start planning for Christmas NEXT year, that's what I say.

    Good point. But why wait till New Years Day? Lets start it on Christmas Day itself - "365 days to go to Christmas"

    The amount of polls such as "Have you been naughty or nice" and christmas shopping ideas that could live under something like this is quite encouraging. Perhaps a commericial interaction forum with someone like Arnotts or Clerys and a tie-in with the Bargains forum would be a good direction to follow.

    This has the potential to become a category.

    Christmas skin sounds good though. It would probably have to be really non-offensive to minority groups though, all black, none of that horribly offensive red and white nonsense ;-). And bye bye Santa Claus, you jolly fat Caucasian hate scum. Release those elf people that you've conquered!!

    You know how bright colours offend people in this age of political correctness, eg: it's not like we can have the X-men running around in bright colours anymore, it looks ghey. (I really hope there are no other ghey undertones in that film). Bye bye batman's boy lover robin's green tights as well. the list goes on and on.

    That was me banging my head off the keybaord. Im sorry, maybe its a good idea to some people. But I hate christmas and all it has come to stand for.

    I just see a christmas fourm as the usual commercial crap i spend most of the autum and winter trying to avoid. I can see the merits of a christmas commercial fourm but thats all.

    Everyother aspect of christmas could be covered in another fourm.

    For example :
    christmas shopping -> Rip off Ireland, Commercial
    Holidays -> travle, Holidays, work
    Christmas Partys -> Gigs events
    Christmas TV/entertainment -> Most of the Arts fourms
    Actual christmas discussions-> society/humanaties/Humour
    and so on

    You can also get to legitimately fling poo and howl at anyone who starts christmas threads outside the Christmas forum!
