Spam - Legal stance ?

Guys, Incoming spam has been on the increase for the last while & has been getting more & more explicit, I need to know the legal requirements on behalf of the company for dealing with it. Exactly what is required of me ? Do I have to put something in place to remove it before it hits the employees ?
